If Your Results Weren't What You Expected
First: breathe. This is not the end of your story — not even close.
Here's what's important to know right now:
- Clearing is open — thousands of university places are available through UCAS Clearing today. Call universities directly, be confident, and ask questions.
- Remarking is possible — if you're surprised by a result, speak to your school or college today about requesting a review of marking.
- There are other routes — degree apprenticeships, foundation years, resits, and alternative qualifications are all valid, successful paths taken by thousands of people every year.
The people who achieve great things in life are rarely the ones who had a perfect, uninterrupted journey. They're the ones who adapted, kept going, and found another way.

Results day on social media can feel overwhelming. Everyone seems to be celebrating, and it's easy to compare your results to others'. Please be kind to yourself. Log off if you need to. Your worth is not determined by what you see on someone else's feed.
